Rounds — Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By installing or using Rounds (“the app”), operated by FormuVet (“we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. What the app is for
Rounds helps veterinary professionals keep a personal record of their own caseload, hours worked and continuing professional development. It is a productivity and record-keeping tool for you, the individual practitioner. It gives no clinical, diagnostic, treatment, dosing, legal, financial or regulatory advice.
3. Your professional responsibilities
You remain solely responsible for:
- Keeping proper clinical records in your practice’s own system. Rounds does not replace them and must never be used as the primary patient record.
- Meeting the CPD and record-keeping requirements of your regulator (such as the SAVC or RCVS). CPD entries in Rounds are your own preparation notes — logging something here does not submit or register it anywhere.
- Patient and client confidentiality. Rounds is built for de-identified logging and does not ask for patient or owner names. If you choose to type identifiable information into a free-text field, that is your decision and your responsibility under POPIA, the GDPR and your professional obligations.
- Complying with your employer’s or contracting practice’s policies on recording workload information.
4. Your account and your data
The app works fully offline with no account. Signing in with Google is optional and exists only to back up and sync your logbook. You own the content you enter. We claim no ownership of it and will not use it for anything other than providing the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export everything, delete everything, or delete your account entirely at any time from within the app. Keep your own backups of anything you consider important — see clause 7.
5. AI quick-add
The optional AI feature turns a short typed or dictated note into suggested fields. It can misread you. Nothing is ever saved without you confirming it first, and you should always check the parsed result before saving. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of AI output.
6. Acceptable use
Use Rounds lawfully and professionally. Don’t attempt to break, probe or overload the service, reverse-engineer it, resell it, or use it to store content you have no right to hold.
7. Availability, backups and “as is”
Rounds is provided free, “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that sync will always succeed, or that data will never be lost — devices fail, apps get uninstalled, and cloud services have outages. Please export a backup regularly.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profit, or any professional, disciplinary or regulatory consequence arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app, or from relying on it as a record. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes and ending
We may update the app or these terms; material changes will be signalled in the app. We may discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data. You may stop using Rounds at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
